Matt Yorke

Matt has been working with llamas for over a decade and originally founded The Llama Sanctuary after being involved in several difficult llama rehoming cases. It has since grown into a labour of love and Matt is passionate about seeing the organisation grow and stand on its own feet.
Matt also runs Pembrokeshire Llamas, a llama trekking and holiday let small business, whilst also serving as a director for the non-profit British Llama Society, and acts as a trustee for the British Camelids charity.
Matt has a diverse skillset that encompasses 20 years experience in IT services, IT processes, supplier management, and root cause analysis. As a small business owner, Matt is exposed regularly to a plethora of differing challenges that require varied skills and solutions, such as marketing, accounting, customer fulfilment, website design & maintenance, people management, legal & compliance, estate management, animal husbandry & welfare, land management, and health & safety. Matt’s educational background is in psychology.

Naomi Lewis-Payne
Trustee
Naomi was an early supporter of The Llama Sanctuary, helping to coordinate some of our first marketing campaigns. Naomi is a talented designer who runs a graphic studio in Swansea. She works heavily with both print and web, and has a wealth of design and newsletter experience, in addition to creating promotional material for physical stores - as well as social networks, trend campaigns, and brand development.

Marion Dubois
Trustee
Marion originally arrived at The Llama Sanctuary as a volunteer in 2020. She has a natural affinity for all animals and in particular llamas. Marion is currently studying Political Science in Belgium, but tries to get back to the sanctuary as often as possible.

Alex Mykhailova
Sanctuary Manager
Since 2021, Alex has been responsible for every aspect of the day to day running of the sanctuary, including animal husbandry, animal welfare, land management, marketing, accounting, and customer fulfilment.
Alex is currently studying biochemistry at Swansea University, whilst simultaneously running her own business specialising in sourcing, trading and auctioning high value rare Soviet fine art.
